Every day I wait to hear the ring

whispers like the wings of an angel

filling my room with sunshine

butterflies and flowers of spring

 

every time I feel your arms around

my waist, I lean forward and hold on

I wish the moment would last for hours

the stars and moon seem to lift the ground

laughing like wild hyenas

chasing each other in circles

 

when leaves turn red, drift gently down

the sun retreats, and shadows get long

evening chill starts to enter the home

we'll light a fire and listen to the sound

let the night quietly pass by

while we drift to sleep together
